Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi Tuesday said 207 people were confirmed dead, while 15 people were still missing, after the earthquake that hit the city of L'Aquila, east of Rome, on Monday.

The prime minister told a press conference in L'Aquila that 1900 of the dead had been identified, while 17 were still to be identified.
